Counseling for Anxiety

Whether your anxiety shows up as racing thoughts, panic, feeling chronically overwhelmed, avoidance, GI distress, or bodily discomfort, my aim is to meet you where you are at with warmth and curiosity. Together we’ll develop a tools that actually help slow the cycle of reactivity, and build resilience so life feels not only tolerable but enjoyable again.

There are many approaches we can take, but one important thing we’ll identify is how your body + brain respond to stress. When we know how you are responding, we will be able to better equip you with tools tailored to your needs. Practicing new skills will shift you from dysregulated to regulated so you can respond — not react — to triggers.

Somatic Therapy for Anxiety

Somatic therapy helps anxiety by working directly with the body’s sensations, movement patterns, and nervous system responses rather than solely focusing on thoughts, feelings, or beliefs.

There are a variety of tools we’ll explore to help your body + brain work towards regulating again so calm is your norm, instead of fight or flight.
