Anxiety and Depression Therapy for Teens in Colorado Springs.
Therapy for Adolescents (12+) in Colorado Springs
Do you ever find yourself frustrated you don’t get more than a “fine” or “I’m ok” (or maybe you’re ignored altogether) when asking your teen how their day was? Maybe you’ve noticed they are more withdrawn or just haven’t seemed the same since that break up or ending of a friendship. You know this isn’t who your kiddo is and that they must be going through something.
Teenagers face unique challenges in today’s world. Not only are they experiencing major developmental leaps mentally, emotionally, and physically, but considering the compounding influence of social media, academic pressure, shifting social dynamics, and identity exploration, it’s no wonder they are anxious. All of these factors make some of their day to day experiences feel overwhelming and confusing. Therapy provides a safe, confidential space where adolescents can learn to identify and name their feelings, develop coping skills for stress and anxiety, and practice healthier ways of relating to family, peers, and themselves.
Therapy for Teenagers Experiencing Anxiety and Depression
Seeing your teen struggle with anxiety, depression, and relationship/communication difficulties is painful. In working together, I help them learn practical tools—like emotion regulation strategies, assertive communication techniques, and relational problem-solving approaches—that they can take into the classroom and into the real world. The goal to help them feel empowered as they enter into adulthood while also knowing they have a safe and sturdy place to return to for support when life gets challenging.
Being a present and attuned parent is the hardest job in the world - AND - you shouldn’t have to do it alone. Investing in therapy for your teenager can prevent mental health challenges from escalating, help develop resilience, and equip teens with the tools to build a solid foundation that prepares them for the best possible future.
